The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted unanimously to add the COVID 19 vaccine to the routine childhood immunization schedule.
In addition to this development the COVID 19 vaccine will be included in the Vaccines For Children program. This new recommendation endorses that the COVID 19 Vaccine benefits strongly outweigh the risks thus bringing another important disease prevention tool into routine care. Keep an eye out for published updates in the MMWR and CDC resources.
